I have changed my board - a 2011 van but still the 3010 boiler. Its straightforward enough, as its easy to get at once the plastic cover is removed. There are a few connectors to remove, so take photos first, plus make a drawing of what colour wires and plugs go where.
Jul 21, 2014 NB: Also applies to Alde 3010 Compact Australia/New Zealand Spec (model no. Replacing the PCB in the Alde 3010 Compact US Spec boiler requires Torx 10 and Torx 20 screwdriver, 15 mm.
You can't do it one plug at a time as there's not enough room. There are in fact 2 glass fuses on the board. If your control panel only showed 1KW or 2KW power choices, you might want to upgrade to the 3KW board at the same time, which is what I did, as I don't think there is much difference in cost. However, check the trip switch rating will cope. Is the board mounted horizontally under the cover, or vertical down the 'back' of the boiler?Mine failed over the Bank Holiday, though the boiler works on gas and EHU if available, in my case the room thermostat calling in the pump sends the panel into a mindless fit.I jury rigged a separate 12 volt feed to the pump to keep warm; it will stay like this for a while if it is a boiler out job to access the back, as that in my case is a massive task not considered by the van builder. Not at all impressed by the van builders installation design.

Edited May 4, 2017 by JTQ. Same problem I had - needed to check continuity on the non replaceable fuse on the board / frustrated that it's not a trip or at least a replaceable fuse. Mine had failed - bought and changed the board / simples but approx £200 out of pocket. Sounds like the fuse Alde are asking you to check. Common fault with overheating- I keep the lid off now and don't keep it on gas and 3kw electric for long.Apparently they changed the design on the next model of the boiler.I managed to get the failed fuse off the board and fitted a replacement fuse I bought for about 30p from Maplin.
Will keep the board as a spare. Not 100% sure it will work but continuity over the fuse is good. Took me 3 fuses to get it sorted as the heat from the soldering iron kept overheating the fuse to failure.Would have tried the repair myself before buying another board but we were away a year last April without heating and couldn't afford to wait as it was really cold. I had this same problem last year. While ALDE was on the phone I pushed on all the connectors and the fan plug was not making a good contact and blowing one of the (2) glass fuses.
I just touched the plug having replaced the glass fuse (from Maplin) and all sprang back in to life and been fine since (touch wood)If you replace fuse and turn power switch on does it power up screen momentarily until the fuse blows? Mine did and it was this that made Alde suggest it was likely not a circuit board failure.
Looking foward to replies to this question as I have just been in touch with HISPAVAN in Vera Spain and because they(Alde in Spain) had not got a 2 kW replacement pcb they have to send to Germany for one which will take up to three weeks and no mention of an upgradeThe symptoms were no power to the control panel and whilst waiting for the replacement Leon the Hispavan electrician looped it bypassing the pcb board and said it could last awhileThe cost has been quoted at €398 inc fitting which I have ordered the part and paid a deposit of €150. I'm confused.I too have the 3010 and a choice of 1kw, 2kw and 3kw settings. I read somewhere (think in the service or maintenance manual) that there is actually only 2 physical elements, a 1kw and 2kw and when 3kw is chosen it simply powers both elements to give 3kw in total. When I first bought my van I tested the boiler on just 1kw setting to make sure the heating worked and it did.
Then I tested it on the 2kw setting and it worked, then on 3kw.So all I can assume is that the new PCB allows the ability to power both the 1kw and 2kw elements to give 3kw in total?
